AID TO INCENTIVATE THE WASTE FIELD
The director of the Catalan Waste Agency (ARC), Josep Maria Tost, and the director of Innovation of ACCIÓN, Áurea Rodríguez, have presented this year's call for aid for circular economy projects in the field of waste. They have done so after the Official Gazette of the Generalitat has published the bases of the line of subsidies for Nuclei of Industrial Research and Experimental Development that encourage the carrying out of industrial research activities and experimental development in circular economy projects, specifically in the area of waste by 2020.
Based on the call, projects will be subsidized:
In which the value of products, materials and resources are kept within the economy for as long as possible.
- That they generate the minimum possible waste
- That they walk towards the objective of maximum efficiency in the use of resources, reducing the consumption of raw materials and the generation of waste throughout the life cycle of the products.
- Improve waste treatment processes to recover resources and / or reduce the amount of waste that is ultimately destined for deposit (improvement of treatment processes).
Projects with a greater impact of the project in the prevention and management of waste in the field of circular economy will be prioritized.
